ResCore Firefighter Health App
A mobile app built around ResCore's firefighter impact study — keeping first responders engaged in their health, tracking how their bodies respond to the job, and giving them a place to reach out when things get heavy.

What We'd Build
App Features
These are the features in scope for this build — the full list. Exactly what this Statement of Work does and doesn't cover, and what comes in later phases, is spelled out in Scope & Phasing below.
The Firefighter Impact Study
The core of the app. Structured check-ins and data collection built specifically to support ResCore's longitudinal study of firefighter health, stress, and recovery.
- Did you respond to an alarm this week?
- Did you work a difficult patient? A traumatic scene?
- How is the inflammation? The knee? The shoulder?
- Consistent with your methylated vitamins?
- Sleep quality and mental state over time
- All data tied to the firefighter's profile for ResCore to study patterns
Daily Check-Ins
A simple, low-friction way to keep firefighters and patients engaged — daily or every few days, on their schedule.
- How are you feeling today? Pain, inflammation, stress level
- Did you hydrate? Take your vitamins?
- Any PTSD symptoms or mental health signals this week?
- Recovery tracking after treatment
- Admin can configure what questions get asked and how often
On-Scene Biometric Tracking
When a firefighter responds to a cardiac arrest at 2am, their body goes through hell. The app pulls that data from their wearable — heart rate, body temp, recovery window — so ResCore can see what the job actually does.
- Connects to fitness watches and health rings via Apple Health and Google Health
- Heart rate, resting heart rate, body temperature, sleep
- Tracks spikes and recovery windows
- Exact metrics depend on the device the firefighter is already wearing
Duty Event Context (GPS)
With the firefighter's permission, the app can flag when they're likely on a call — so ResCore can see how their biometrics responded to that specific event.
- Opt-in only — the firefighter controls this completely
- Correlate alarm responses with heart rate spikes or stress signals
- Not surveillance — purely for understanding duty-related health impact
- Can be turned off at any time
The Red Button
A big, always-visible button for the moments when a firefighter or patient needs help right now — PTSD, depression, a dark night. Gets them to a real resource, fast.
- One tap to 911 if it's an emergency
- One tap to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline
- One tap to the Veterans Crisis Line
- Can be configured to alert a ResCore-designated contact if staffed
- Pre-written grounding messages for acute distress moments
- Clear about what ResCore can and can't provide 24/7
ResCore Education Hub
The regenerative health educational platform Steve is building — inside the app. Articles, videos, PDFs, and links on everything ResCore stands for.
- Regenerative medicine and stem cell therapy
- Methylated vitamins and why they matter for first responders
- PTSD, oxidative stress, and functional recovery
- Partner companies (ITC Laboratories, BioLux, etc.) with dedicated pages
- ResCore manages all content — no code deploys needed to update it
Reminders & Notifications
The app keeps the firefighter in the routine without being annoying about it.
- Vitamin and supplement reminders
- Hydration check-ins
- Survey and check-in nudges
- Appointment and treatment program reminders
- ResCore controls the timing and frequency
Admin Dashboard (ResCore Team)
Everything the ResCore team needs to see what's going on, manage users, and run the impact study.
- View and export firefighter and patient check-in data
- Manage the education content library
- Configure survey questions and notification schedules
- User management and support alert monitoring
- Study reporting and data trends

Scope & Phasing
What This Covers — and What Comes Later
This Statement of Work is a fixed scope: build the features in App Features, then host that app. Anything beyond it is real, expected work — delivered as its own separately-priced phase, not folded into this fee.
This Statement of Work is purely for building the features above and hosting that app. BrandRap builds it and keeps it running; what ResCore does with it — adoption, the impact study, how patients engage — is ResCore's side, and BrandRap makes no guarantees about user growth or business outcomes.
Design and build of every feature listed in App Features above — and nothing beyond that list
iOS and Android apps submitted to the App Store and Google Play
Hosting and running that app, exactly as built, on an ongoing basis
Any feature, screen, or capability not listed in App Features above
Marketing, user acquisition, and adoption — getting firefighters and patients onto the app
Ongoing user and technical support (see Monthly Hosting for what the fee does and doesn't cover)
Compliance, legal, and HIPAA operational work
Third-party, platform, and developer-account fees
Feature Phase 2 and beyond
New features, screens, and expansions past this build — expected, and scoped as their own phase.
Marketing & growth
Driving firefighter and patient adoption once the app is live — a separate engagement when ResCore is ready.
Support & maintenance plan
Hands-on user support and ongoing enhancements, beyond keeping the delivered app running.
Compliance engagement
HIPAA legal review, vendor agreements, and operational setup, handled as a dedicated workstream.
Additional development is expected and welcomed — it is delivered as separate, separately-priced phases, never assumed within this fixed scope or the monthly hosting fee.

Important Notes
Assumptions & Caveats
9 Items
- 1
This is a health engagement and tracking app, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or replace clinical care.
- 2
The Red Button connects users to public crisis resources (911, 988). It does not include a staffed ResCore response line unless ResCore separately arranges that.
- 3
Wearable integrations work with what the firefighter is already wearing. Exact data depends on their device, OS version, and what they give permission to share.
- 4
Full HIPAA compliance requires legal review, signed agreements with hosting vendors, and operational steps on ResCore's side — not just how the app is built.
- 5
Apple App Store and Google Play developer fees are separate.
- 6
Third-party service fees are separate.
- 7
GoHighLevel HIPAA setup, if needed, is a separate engagement.
- 8
GPS is opt-in context tracking — not real-time monitoring or dispatch.
- 9
App Store review times are set by Apple and Google, not BrandRap.
Any scope not described in this document or the Deliverables list requires a written change order.
